Coming to Lake County, Illinois August 5: The Inaugural Grayslake Cycling Classic5 August 2006
The North Branch Cycling Club ( http://www.northbranchcycling.org ) is presenting the United States Cycling Federation-sanctioned Inaugural Grayslake Cycling Classic at Prairie Crossing, to be held Saturday, August 5, 2006. Racers and spectators are invited to Chicagoland's newest and most unique bicycle race; a criterium featuring a fast, flat horse-shoe shaped 1.1 mile course. Registration is still open for this fun family event, which will feature USCF criterium races for men and women of all ages, as well as events for juniors and kids. The Grayslake Cycling Classic will donate 10 percent of all rider fees to the Prairie Crossing Charter School ( http://www.pccs.lake.k12.il.us ) to support the purchase of bike racks for the new school building, which is scheduled to open in the 2006-07 school year.
