Intelius Fortifies IDWatch With Compromised Credit Card Monitoring Service

16 August 2005

Intelius Inc., a leading provider of information services for personal safety, today announced the addition of another level of protection to IDWatch, a recently launched service that detects, prevents and insures against identity theft. IDWatch now monitors public forums, chat rooms, Web sites and other sources to detect the use, sale and trade of identity-related data. Intelius has already identified more than two million compromised credit and debit cards and is adding thousands of new cards to its database every day.

This addition to the personal protection service provides IDWatch customers with heightened identity security, and enhances Intelius' patent-pending early warning system. In addition to monitoring billions of public and publicly available records, IDWatch scours online sources for
activity on compromised credit cards, debit cards, Social Security numbers, bank account numbers and other sensitive data. When private information is detected as compromised, Intelius immediately alerts IDWatch customers and enables them to restore control. In addition, Intelius protects users from any fraudulent transactions on its Web site by declining all compromised cards for the purchase of any of its services.

Intelius' IDWatch is the most comprehensive service to detect identity theft before it happens. IDWatch constantly monitors personal, professional and financial information for changes, alerting customers of potentially fraudulent activity in real time. IDWatch also includes $25,000 identity theft insurance with no deductible.
