Invention Attention – A Mom's Product Gains Momentum

26 May 2006

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) May 24, 2006 -- With more attention than ever focused on inventions making it to the marketplace through television contests and reality TV shows on major network channels, some inventors have forged the same road all on their own. Such is the case with suburban Atlanta Mom Entrepreneur, Amy Bergin who invented The Couponizer®. Deemed the «Hottest Coupon Accessory on the Market» by Val-Pak.com, the largest online coupon site owned by Cox Target Media, a subsidiary of Cox Enterprises, Inc., the popularity of her invention is taking off.

Since its introduction at the Atlanta Home Show in 2002, her invention has sold out twice on QVC and has already been on the air several times in 2006 and her next airtime is scheduled for June 13th, 9am EST. Her product will be featured among other products that have successfully launched from the 2005 Decade of Discoveries Product Search Tour. After showing her invention to the QVC product search team in 2004, she has realized the dream of any inventor by simply addressing a common experience with creative tools and maintaining her authenticity. In April 2006, the product made its catalog debut with Walter Drake, a home, kitchen, garden and personal care product catalog started in 1947, based in Colorado Springs, CO. Also, her product is sold in several Publix Supermarkets in the local metro-Atlanta area.

Frustrated after throwing out expired grocery and other retail, restaurant and service coupons, losing a gift card after her baby shower and feeling like her spending was out of control at times, Amy created her own shopping system that proved to elevate her ability to stabilize spending, save more money and enjoy her success. When asked about her experience, Amy shares, «I have figured out that saving money on everyday items you buy over and over sets you up to have more money to spend on things that are really what you want and need.»

What makes her product different is that it is not just a holder for coupons; it is a complete shopping system with tools that support every process associated with organizing, shopping and saving money consistently. «Once I realized managing the day to day household expenses of a family budget is a skill, not a pastime, my whole attitude towards striving to live within our means took on new meaning» Amy comments. «My system is simply a by-product of this realization and I knew I needed to share it with other Moms or anyone who might share the struggle to stabilize spending. It is my goal to get a Couponizer in the hands of every family spender.»

Amy's work background was in corporate training, so this coupled with her experience as a Mom has enabled her to write articles sharing her ideas and experience on healthy family spending habits and launching a business. To view some of her writing, visit http://www.clubmom.com where she is a Go To Mom in the Frugal Mom and Entrepreneur Mom categories. Additionally, she has been a featured speaker on these topics reaching out to thousands of local Atlanta Moms through local chapters of moms clubs and organizations. She also has other time and money saving products under development.

The Couponizer Company was founded in April of 2002 by Amy and her husband Michael. It is a privately held Georgia corporation with a simple mission of providing tools and education that will inspire families and individuals to spend time and money wisely. Amy is the full time mother of three children ages 7, 5 and 3 years old and lives in Cumming, GA.
