PPCBL to issue Rs 8b loans Staff Report
LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited will give Rs 8 billion in loans to farmers for the upcoming Kharif crop, said Colonel (r) Malik Muhammad Anwar, the provincial cooperatives minister.
Mr Anwar was talking to a farmers’ delegation, which called on him on Friday. The minister said the bank was successfully recovering Rabi crop loans as well as other sunk loans such as loans to buy tractors and agriculture equipment. Mr Anwar said after a successful loans scheme for farmers, the bank was likely to start project financing for industrialists.
