Media Advisory - Canadian Bankers Association President to Call for Better Tools to Fight Crime in Vancouver Speech

In a speech entitled, Fighting Crime: The Right Tools are Needed, Raymond Protti, President and CEO of the Canadian Bankers Association, will speak to the Vancouver Board of Trade about the gaps in Canada's criminal justice framework and how these gaps impact businesses, individuals and the economy in British Columbia and across the country. The speech will focus on the need to make identity theft a defined Criminal Code offence in Canada, on ensuring that our laws keep pace with changing criminal practices, and on sentencing reform.
