Power 1 Credit Union to Host Fundraiser for Florida State Representatives

Power 1 Credit Union, one of South Florida’s strongest financial institustions, will host a fundraiser luncheon coordinated by the Florida Credit Union League on June 29th, 2005 in honor of Florida State Representatives Julio Robaina, David Rivera, and Juan Zapata.

During the luncheon, which will be held at the Power 1 Credit Union Headquarters, area credit union leaders will present the representatives contributions towards their campaigns. The three representatives are credit union members and all sincerely support the credit union initiative.
Representative David Rivera has active relationships with the United States Senate Federal Credit Union and the State Department Federal Credit Union. And Representatives Julio Robaina and Juan Zapata are also strong credit union supporters. Locally, they represent members of various credit unions including, Power 1, American Airlines, Miami Postal Service, Eastern Financial, Peoples, and Tropical Credit Unions.

The Florida Credit Union League is a statewide trade association which offers various services for Florida’s credit unions including education, legislation and compliance, communications and affiliate relations, services and research, and more. The League, which is based in Tallahassee, also provides access to a variety of financial services-related products through their wholly-owned subsidiary the FCUL Service Group, Inc.

The luncheon will be held at 12 noon on June 29th and all credit union leaders, staff or volunteers are encouraged to attend. Power 1 is located at 2020 NW 150th Avenue in Pembroke Pines, FL.
