SBA Disaster Loan Assistance Center Opens Wednesday, April 26 in Oyster Bay24 April 2006
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announces the opening of another Disaster Loan Assistance Center in Nassau County. Victims that received damage from severe storms and flooding that occurred October 7 through October 26, 2005 are encouraged to visit the Center and complete an SBA disaster loan application. The Center located at the Town of Oyster Bay, Town Hall South, 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa, New York, opens Wednesday, April 26 and will remain open until further notice. The Nassau County Disaster Loan Assistance Centers are located at: Woodmere Park Center 750 Hungry Harbor Road North Woodmere, NY Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., until further notice Town of Oyster Bay Town Hall South 977 Hicksville Road, Massapequa, New York Opens: Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at 8:30 a.m. Hours: Wednesday - Friday, April 26-28; 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. One Saturday only, April 29; 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri; beginning May 1; 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Wednesdays; 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., until further notice "Providing individual help is an important part of what we do to help people recover from a disaster," said Frank Skaggs, Director of SBA Field Operations Center - East. "We also want to let disaster victims know, it is not necessary to wait on the result of insurance claims before returning your completed SBA disaster loan application." Anyone unable to visit the Disaster Loan Assistance Centers may obtain an application by calling the SBA National Customer Service Center at 1-800-659- 2955 (for the hearing-impaired 1-800-877-8339): Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., EDT. Applications may be obtained, completed and returned to one of SBA Disaster Loan Assistance Centers or mailed to: U. S. Small Business Administration, National Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76155. The deadline for physical damage applications is May 22, 2006; the deadline for economic injury applications is December 22, 2006.
