SBA to Close the Pinellas County Disaster Loan Assistance Center24 March 2006
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announces the closing of its Disaster Loan Assistance Center Thursday, March 23 at the close of business. The Center is located in Pinellas County Emergency Management at 400 South Fort Harrison Avenue, Room 111 in Clearwater, Florida and is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, March 23 at which time the Center will cease operation. "If you had any damage caused by the severe storms and flooding that occurred on February 3, 2006, we hope you will visit the Center and personally meet with an SBA Representative. Our staff will be glad to answer any questions about the disaster loan program, give you an application, and provide any extra help you may need or want in completing your application," said Frank Skaggs, Director of SBA Field Operations Center East. "We also want to express our thanks to the Pinellas County Management staff for providing the space for the Disaster Loan Assistance Center. The many courtesies extended to our staff have been greatly appreciated," Skaggs added. Applications may be completed and returned to the Center or mailed to: U.S. Small Business Administration, National Processing and Disbursement Center, 14925 Kingsport Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76155. After the Center closes, applications and program information will be available by calling the SBA Disaster Assistance National Customer Service Center at 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the hearing-impaired); Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST. The deadline for returning applications for physical damage is May 8, 2006; the deadline to return economic injury applications is December 11, 2006.
