Societe Generale Strengthens U.S. Loan Sales Team28 June 2006
Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking announces today it has expanded its loan distribution team with the addition of two key loan sales professionals. The firm has hired John Gorham as a Director, and Roxana Pechero as a Vice President, both reporting to Terry Sanabria, Managing Director and Head of Loan Sales and Trading within the firm's U.S. Debt Capital Markets Group. The team is based in New York. Gorham was previously with UBS's loan sales and trading group where he focused on the U.S. institutional investor market, and Pechero joins from BNP Paribas where she specialized in leveraged loan origination, structuring and distribution. "John and Roxana bring valuable relationships and experience to Societe Generale that will greatly enhance our distribution efforts and extend our debt franchise in the US," said Sanabria. Earlier this month the firm announced the creation of an integrated debt origination and distribution platform in the U.S. encompassing all of the firm's loan and bond market activities under Neil Parekh. This new U.S. Debt Capital Markets Group, of which Loan Sales and Trading is an integral part, combines all of the firm's U.S. debt capital markets product expertise under one roof -- loan and structured debt syndicate, high yield and mezzanine debt, private placements, and euro bond origination -- to ensure that Societe Generale's clients are provided optimal solutions for their fund raising and investment needs. The Group's resources are aligned with Societe Generale's industry expertise in Media & Telecom, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure, Sports Finance, Real Estate, Utilities, and Oil & Gas, and work closely with the firm's product areas including Leveraged Finance, Securitization, Project Finance and Export and Commodity Finance, to ensure enhanced client coverage.
