In addition, an enhanced network detection component automatically provides users with separate security policies for the networks that they connect to. By automatically configuring the security settings for the type of network they connect to, Norton Internet Security customers can take full advantage of their home networks and stay fully protected when connecting to more dangerous public networks.

Viewing security status has never been clearer with the newly designed streamlined user interface of the Norton Protection Center for Norton AntiVirus 2007 and Norton Internet Security 2007. Additionally, overall computer status is always visible via the Norton Status icon on the taskbar or the Windows system icon tray.

Pricing and Availability

Norton AntiVirus 2007 and Norton Internet Security 2007 are scheduled to be available for purchase through the Symantec online store at www.symantecstore.com as well as various retail locations and online retailers in September 2006.

The suggested retail price of Norton AntiVirus 2007 is US$39.99 (includes one-year service subscription to use the product and receive Symantec's protection updates). The suggested retail price for Norton Internet Security 2007 is US$69.99 (includes one-year service subscription to use the product and receive Symantec's protection updates). Small Office Packs for 5- and 10-users are scheduled to be available for both products. Norton Internet Security 2007 can be installed on up to three PCs.

Current subscribers of Symantec products who are eligible for Norton AntiVirus 2007 or Norton Internet Security 2007 upgrades will be notified via in-product notification. These customers can also renew their subscriptions for US$39.99 and US$49.99 respectively.
